Windows Desktop Search released today

According to a press release, Microsoft has officially launched their MSN Search Toolbar with Windows Desktop Search. This suite of tools, available at http://desktop.msn.com/, allows Windows XP/2000/Server 2003 users to search through Microsoft Office files, images, PDFs, multimedia, and more – over 200 file types. The toolbar also includes a pop-up blocker, form input shortcuts, and shortcuts to MSN services.

Hmm sounds like Google’s?
