met his briefly at an airport in 2004. shook hands with him, said good afternoon, and he replied Good day, and he asked me if i visited australia often. told him I was there on business and on my way to of all places Alice springs. Moments later he was approached by a large group of tourists and he smiled and proceeded to shake hands and pose for a few pictures and do some autographs.

he seemed to be a down to earth friendly chap and not gone “Hollywood” or stand-offish from the public. hw was certainly a one-of-a-kind individual and will be a hard act to follow.

People can help themselves, talk for themselves,but animals can’t. He was their voice. He In doing that he inspired many others such as myself. He will be greatly missed be many.

Steve was so wonderful, he showed me that conservation is very important.
He was always there for the animals and what mad him so great

there are so many people giving negative views also but what i want to say is that how many people are there who are so much engrossed and committed to what they do? it was steve irwin’s extreme loyalty to his work that made him such a loveable person and he will always remain our favorite no matter what people say and others cant be like him , so good in his work and i believe he was special in all aspects
