Diddy’s Making the Band 3 is an MTV Hit
Diddy never met a camera he didn’t like. He’s also loath to admit failure in the Bad Boy empire. So his spin machine went into overdrive after his efforts to put together a rap supergroup on Making the Band 2 flopped. While the show managed so-so buzz, the trainwreck of bad actors and bad rappers produced the lackluster and lame Da Band. Diddy summarily cut them loose and began work on forming a female supergroup for MTV. The girls on the first season of Making the Band 3 didn’t please Diddy (or searchers), so he stretched out the third installment into a second season.
Season 3.2 finished last week with a flurry of furious dance moves, hellacious harmonizing, and bountiful buzz. Searches on the show are up 317% over the past week, and it hit dead-on in the target demos — attracting 75% female searches and drawing almost all of its volume from the under-24 crowd. We also saw a large volume of related queries, including “making the band 3 final group,” “making the band 3 cast,” and “making the band 3 theme song.”
While the show’s grating theme song is impossible to forget, MTB3 star Aubrey O’Day also proved unforgettable in the minds of searchers. Queries on the rail-thin beauty jumped 94% over the past week. It’ll be interesting to see if the other four ladies in the band can come close to Aubrey’s buzz. Related Aubrey spikes included aubrey o’day pictures and aubrey o’day blender magazine. Aubrey ODay IS HOT!!
The band has yet to be named, but we’re sure Diddy has his minions at the whiteboard discussing the moniker that will move the most units. Good luck, sweet rap mogul!

I heard the CD comes out in February.
Aubrey O’Day just played a show in New York about 2 weeks ago and Blender magazine had her spotlighted in their magazine too.

I Loved making the band 3. I’ve been watching it ever since making the band has been on MTV. This season I cried and got really involved with aundrea, I think she really deserved to make the band. I love Aubrey she is totally talented you go girls and make this band work i love you all can’t wait to seeyou perform live.

I’m only eleven years old and me and my sister, whose 21 absoloutley LOVED this season and last season even my brother watched it with us. From the biginning I loved Aubrey and my sister adored Aundrea.
Aubrey is no doubt a star and as Johnny says even if she wasn’t in the band she’d be a star.Aubrey,Wanita,Dawn,Shannon,and of course Aundrea..I have no doubt in you girls you are amazingly talented and you’ll make it real far!

By the way I have heard from tons of sources that the band’s promo is coming out in January which means most likely they’ll be named by then and “an album by Summer” Aubrey quotes in her myspace! Can’t wait!!

The songs the girls danced to were Ciara “1, 2, Step” Kelis “Milkshake” Cheri Dennis “Oh La La” and “I Luv You” Kell the song you are looking for is probably the Cheri Dennis “I Luv You” track. Let me know if this helps!

Someone said about Aubrey and a myspace… She does NOT have a myspace neither do any of the other girls as of yet. All profiles are posers and Aubrey went on to say so herself in her live chat on her official website. Hope this helps!! But I did read somewhere the single is to drop in Feb of 06 and the album by the summer of 06… Maybe ‘06 will be their year!

You’d never know if it really was their own myspace or not. Soooo many people portray themselves as celebrities on there it’s not funny. Or their PR people start a Myspace account on their behalf and you aren’t really talking to them anyways.

I saw Dawm to at the Hornets vs Miami game tonight (hornets won!!!) but she sang the star spangled banner and gave out autographs at half time.. she used to dance with the dancers for the honey bees (hornet dancers) she can really sing and dance… Thanks for the info!!! omg!!! i LOVE mtb!!!! the best season was the third one!!! i think the band is a great choice diddy! aubrey is beauitful n very talented!!! i knew she was gonna make it!!! and i think aundrea really REALLY deserved it! she is great and seems soo sweet and innocent! them two are my faorite! i cant say enough good things about them! my favorite part of the third season was when diddy was announcing the band and he saved aundrea for last…. that was great but scary! good job gurls!! kant wait to see you in arizona!!! (hopefully you come!!) please make another season and show us what the gurls are doing now. thanks! and good luck!

Yea ken umm the new season will be coming out april 13 and aubrey is in flordia wit the girls working on the album. They will be proforming in the espn party but I’m not sure when that will be. It might be on the new season. I jus hope they won’t get boo’ed.

they performed at the ESPN party friday night during the all star weekend in Houston. It was their first live show since the final episode. MTV cameras were there so be on the look out.

Apparently many of you would like to know what is up with the MTB3 group! Fortunately, I have some news about them. As for the name… It has a a sexy flair to it. The band’s name is “THE 5TH EVE”
(Basically…Eve was the temptess back with Adam and Eve *GET IT!!!*) For their single…It is most likely “TELL ME” or “BOY YOU GOT ME” feat. Mario Winans. The Album is set to be released around Late July, mid august of this year. Dominique, another finalist who didn’t make it in the group, is also set to be on a track with the girls called “TEMPTATION” and LOON (Bad Boy’s Rapper) is to be featured on a song called “ITS ALRIGHT”. Remember DABAND! Well, Babs and Ness are also to be on the record. Babs recorded a song with the band called “AT YOU CHEATING” and Ness did a little rap on the song “SMOOTH”. As for the new season…that is not known. More info will be posted up ASAP….

watched mtb this week, the episode where they are warm-up act for the backstreet boys and i loved it, aubrey looked gorgous, aundrea she just lit up the room when i saw her, gorgous smile, she rocks, can anyone tell me what aundrea website address is if she has one thanks, keep up the good work girls, aundrea is the best and sexiest girl in the programme and in the group.

I thought the band should have consisted of Aubrey, Aundrea, Dawn, Shannon, and Taquita. I thought the singing order should have been Aubrey, Aundrea, Taquita, Dawn, and Shannon. But, I’m still happy about Wanita making the band to. The group should be called Passion because they are all sexy, savvy, and can all sing and dance.

Diddy I really think you need to hire a full line Consultant for the Mtband 3 group.
A Full line consultant is one who coordinates all that is needed…observing each young lady and making sure they have the look that compliments them. Example I see hair make overs, fashion make overs and definitely stage presence. I am a designer/events coordinator/consultant. I do an excellent job and I know that you are a perfectionist and your reputation is on the line. But what I see from the TV screen with this group is going down hill. we need to talk. I will consult with you at my own expense. No money out of your pocket just to hear what I have to offer your business.
