Good Peyton Manning Joke for the Patriots. GO PATS!
Peyton Manning, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Colts flag in the window. “This house is yours for eternity, Peyton,” said God. “This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here.”
New England Patriots will kick Peyton’s ass today
[poll=11]
Peyton felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the sidewalk, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a blue and red sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Patriots logo flag, and in every window hung a red Patriots towel.
Peyton looked at God and said “God, I’m not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, and I even went to the Hall of Fame.”
“So what’s your point Peyton?”, God asked.
“Well, why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?”
God chuckled, and replied “Peyton, that’s not Tom’s house, it’s mine.”

F YOU MANNING. If Patriots Defense didn’t fall apart you would be no where.
Go do another commercial.

Why does everyone, especially so-called sports reporters, love to cut down Peyton Manning? People that interview him, write about him and talk about him virtually don’t have a clue about the game of football. Also, losers like the poster “Ken” would not know the difference between a FOOTBALL & an EYEBALL!!! He’s a good player, good quarterback and just down right GOOD MAN!!!! Yes, finally after 9 years in the NFL (Colts), Peyton had a team of good players and coaches helping him get to the Super Bowl!!! The Colts should have had at least 2 more touchdowns because of wide receivers just flat dropping the ball (plus the bad officiating) Also, was it the Patriots defense failing the reason the Colts were in the AFC Championship Game in the first place?
Ken Savage

I didnt say he wasn’t good. I believe he is a good quarterback but just hasn’t done well when it comes to getting to the Super Bowl. The stats and talent is there as well as the team to follow him there.
Just never had gotten it done. Maybe this year will be different.
Most of the balls you said the Colts receivers dropped were not dropped.
They were blocked!
Susan Tolbert
01/23/2007 at 10:38 am
I stand corrected! I do remember that Peyton was close to perfect on throwing the balls to the receivers and putting the ball just to where the receiver could catch it……..but, there were several times that the defenese just got there just in time to knock the ball away…..even the announcers said that Peyton had a great throw, just putting the ball into the right place, but the Patriots defense was doing good. As for the Patriots defense falling apart letting the Colts win the game………..is like saying “If our airplane hadn’t run out of fuel…we wouldn’t have crashed”. Both teams were good and when each offense had the ball…they scored most of time, but when it comes right down to it, with only seconds left on the clock, Brady through an interception which won the game…and before you say “If there had been more time left………
the Patriots would have come back and scored again”…well that’s just it. When you start a football game, you are allowed the teams just a certain amount of time to play to get a win and if you don’t win within that allotted time………..YOU LOST, however, unless the teams are tied, then they go into overtime and the first team that scores….WINS THE GAME!!! Sorry, I didn’t mean to write a book, but I just love football and the MANNING BROTHERS!!!

1 Dan Marino
2 Joe Montana
3 John Elway
4 Johnny Unitas
5 Fran Tarkenton
and the other greats I can think of right now:
Steve Young
Brett Favre
Joe Namath
Tom Brady
Bart Starr
Dan Fouts
Joe Theisman
Len Dawson
Bob Griese
Roger Staubach
Troy Aikman
Terry Bradshaw
Phil Simms
Jim Kelly
Warren Moon
You’re telling me you would put Manning in there at the top of all these guys?
Hermes C
02/05/2007 at 1:06 pm
I would have to put Montana above Marino, solely on the 4 Super Bowls to none (maybe also because I’m a diehard Niners fan). However, I think Manning belongs in that group, especially above some of those listed. He doesn’t crack my top ten (yet), but definitely in the top 15.
Montana
Elway
Marino
Unitas
Bradshaw
Starr
Brady
Aikman
Staubach
Favre
Manning
Steve Young
Simms
He’s got his ring, he’s got his pro bowls, MVPs, and records. He definitely belongs on “The” list, and already above many of them.

Again, I agree that Peyton Manning is a phenomenal talent, but remember he’s only half-way through his career. I think he would be moved into the top 3 at the end of his career, even if he doesn’t win another ring. Just putting him above the others on that list at this point just doesn’t seem right just yet.

Superbowl is over – Peyton got his Ring – but in my opinion Ring or No ring Dan Marino Best all time QB to date and I love Joe Montana who runs a very close second to him.

If Manning keeps winning and being the role model QB that he is. The poster child of the NFL, he will be coronated as the best QB of all. He would have broken all the records and he will also have proven his durability that the other QB’s were not able to hold, except Favre.
It is hard to believe he will not get back to the Super Bowl but again, it is a team sport.

If you don’t like the Colts…tough cookies…if you don’t like Peyton Manning…tough cookies.
If you didn’t like the way the game was called…do I have to say it again? Anyway, as my grandma used to say,”If everyone liked the same thing there wouldn’t be enough to go around.”

I am glad Peyton Manning finally got to the Super Bowl and won. Good for him, he is a classy guy and deserved to win it. No more he couldn’t win the big one. I have been a Vikings fan since the 1970’s and trust me it is sometimes hard to swallow when your team couldn’t win the big one.

I have read every message on here, and anyone who says Payton is over rated clearly never played football or knows nothing about it. Football is a team sport, and i think winning the super bowl is over rated. He is the best in his position but his team was never as good as Tom Brady’s. If Brady was on any other team he would have no rings and be looked at like a Joey Harrington. If you look at position for position Payton is far superior to Tom or any QB for that matter.

to NIK,you have to be on another planet to compare Brady to Harrington number 0ne,number two if I remember correctly Peyton has had quite A supporting cast around him .How about running backs, how about wide receivers and A very good field goal kicker,it seems to me that the weapons are at least comparable,Edge Colts.

To all Colts fans: Your beloved Colts are one and done. The New England Patriots will be crowned world champs next Febuary. The Pats have added the missing ingredient at wide receiver that the Colts have always had, a quality number one wide receiver. Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth will shred the Colts secondary. So enjoy the after glow of your championship, the Patriots are knocking at the door and with a huff and a puff will blow your house of cards down.

To Nik; I have not heard from you lately or from any Colts fans for that matter. Have my words of wisdom left you speechless? Is it the fact that Tom Brady is going to win his fourth Super Bowl this year keeping you quiet ? I guess you have finally realized that Peyton Manning, without Marvin Harrison and the gang, is no more than a high priced Ryan Leaf!!! Saying that Super Bowl wins are overrated is something that your former kicker Mike VanderJERK would say. This narrow-minded thinking is one of your qualities as well. Just trying to have some fun and get a response. Doug

The patriots wont shred anything I don’t care who New England got there not going to beat the colts giving up 32 points in one half when I see Randy Moss and Donate Stallworth I don’t see an ass kicking I see an even match with Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison not to mention we have one of the best tight ends Dallas Clark maybe if u retards decided to keep super bowl mvp Deion Branch you wouldn’t be hurting so bad for receivers.

Hey Andy, What do you think of Randy Moss so far? Leading the league in touchdowns and yards after five games is a good start ? I’m looking forward to the Colts and Patriots game coming up in a few weeks. After the game you’ll be wishing Peyton made a few less commercials and studied his playbook a little more! Us retatds well b smilin den!

Dude after watching mr manning he really takes the cake for now, except for montana. 4 superbowls. i say if you can’t win the big ones your not the greatest. you can have all the records but if you cant handle real pressure go home. its all about superbowls. the stats are cool but nothing if you don’t win.

Hey, I am a huge Peyton Manning fan. I think he is a wonderful QB, role model, person in general and he does a lot for communities. Let’s see…Brady…oh he is a good QB but I will tell you now…he is NOT a good role model, he can’t keep it in his pants. He got two women pregnant in one year. Also, Peyton has his ring and I hope to God that the Colts beat the Pats again this year. I think it is stupid how the media and lame brain assholes have to put down one person on a team. A QB can’t do it all by himself that is for sure. Brady included. The first year they went to the Superbowl was because of a bad call. I watched the play over and over. He was not going forward yet. Yes he has more rings but there are MANY other teams that don’t have any rings…why don’t you pick on them instead.

The date is November 4th, 2007. The colts got rocked. I’m sorry, but the New England Patriots are unstoppable. 16-0 this season, mark my words. Peyton is a good QB, no doubt, but don’t you even dare compare him to a holy entity such as Tom Brady. Some absolute idiot posted earlier that Brady had a better team to work with in the ‘06-’07 season? HAH OK, Brady had absolute crap for receivers, but his immaculate skills made his receivers look like pro-bowlers. Now that the Patriots have actual talented receivers, there is no stopping the offense. I’m sorry. Go cry Peyton Manning cause you might be a good QB, but you’re a little fragile baby on the inside.

11/05/2007 at 2:19 pm
all you manning cry babies can shove it, the pats beat you tonight, 11/4/07, against one-sided refs, while the colts had home field advantage, the pats have the best total offense in the nfl with 428.7 ypg, colts are third at 390, and the best passing record in nfl with 296.3, colts aren’t even on that list. Brady is at the top of the list for most passing yards in the nfl at 2686yds, manning, once again, isnt even on the list, manning has 1 superbowl ring, oooh big deal, the pats have 3 rings from a span of 4 years, some of you have said “well its the whole team not just the quarterback” you are dead wrong, the qb is the leader, brady gets his men rallied for the game, and directs them on the field better than any quarterback, including crybaby manning, can do. look at the patriots stats versus the colts stats, you will clearly see who the better team is, the pats have more records and better stats than manning and his colts can ever dream of achieving. the colts were the defending superbowl champs last night, the team who had beaten everyone else, well guess what, the pats beat them, what does that tell you.
Hermes
11/05/2007 at 5:35 pm
I’m not so sure that the Colts got rocked last night…it looked like a good game and I think if they played 10 games, they would split.
If they played eleven, I would have to give the Pats the edge, just slightly. The two best teams played against each other last night, hands down. No one is even close to the Pats and Colts.
Can’t wait to see them play again in the AFC Championship…
Teri
11/05/2007 at 6:29 pm
Well, what’s up with the FUCK you stuff? That is so ignorant. Peyton Manning is a great QB and a classy guy and his team didn’t have to cheat to get to the Super Bowl. Brady is NOT a classy guy. How many women did he get pregnant in one year? He is married to no one and moved on to super models. That is not classy at all. Brady does commercials,
he just doesn’t have the acting ability that Peyton has. Brady is as much of a crybaby as anybody else. He was bitchin’ to the officials half the game…because they were losing. The Colts played a GREAT GAME. Pats pulled it out of the fire at the last minute but you have to remember….Colts have major players out on injury. Not an excuse but I know that when they have all their guys back…Pats are goin’ down.

I did not realize how many ignorant people Can not understand That there is a possibility that both manning and Brady are equal in talent depending on where you are coming from .I am a Patriots fan and want my team to win .But I Do Think The Colts Are just as good as the patriots. If The pats are not playing I Want To Watch a good game with good teams and at the top of my list is the colts.I guess I am just a football fan Who Looks at a game as having fun JOE

Joeseph, I didn’t say that Tom Brady isn’t a good QB, I don’t think anyone can dispute that…no one that watches football anyway. I said he isn’t a classy guy. OH and he is good lookin’ as heck!! That is just my opinion though. I get tired of hearing what a crybaby Peyton Manning is. He isn’t anymore of a crybaby that the other ones. Marc Bulger is also a great QB but his team totally sucks this year….ack. He needs to light a fire under his teammates. He acts like he is about to fall asleep even out on the field. In a game there can be only one winner.
The pats beat us this time but when we get our injured guys back….Pats better watch out!!! I hope the Colts totally kick butt next time. (btw, I have heard that joke with Peyton Manning being God’s favorite too) That joke has been around for a really long time. When the Rams won the Superbowl, God’s favorite was the Rams. Go Colts!!

Herme,
I agree with you…the Colts didn’t get “Rocked”. As I said before, the Pats pulled it out in the last quarter and they won. I can’t wait to see them play again when our injured first string guys are back. It was a good game. It was also a good game against the Chargers this weekend and I can tell you that Venetari totally BLEW it…argh. Then the refs called some stupid call about false start which was bogus! Well, there can only be one winner but it was a helluva game to watch!!!! Go Colts!!!
Hermes
11/13/2007 at 6:18 pm
Even though the Colts lost that game on Sunday night, I still have no doubt in my mind that the Pats and Colts are definitely, far and away, the best two teams in the league. Despite throwing six picks and a 23-0 deficit, the Colts almost came back to win it. The Chargers needed a missed field goal by, of all people, Adam Vinatieri to win. How often is this going to happen? I guarantee if the Colts and Chargers played 10 games, the Colts would win 9 times out of 10…it just so happens that we saw that 1 win on Sunday night.

I Agree the colts should have won the game. The chargers are not amoung the top teams this year.I have never seen a football team with so much luck. That being said that was one of the worst special teams efforts I have seen in a long time. A kick return A punt return come on. I give Adam a bye on the missed field goal he will win you many more games than he will lose you, Just ask any new england fan. Sorry that dwight Freeney is down. No one likes to see A player get hurt. I know what he means to your team. see you in the conferance championship. GO PATS

Hey Joseph, I said the comment about the classy thing as a rebuttal to your comment that Brady was a classy guy. I didn’t bring that up, you did. That is judging someone personally. One is that you are judging him as being classy. I disagree. It is that simple.

Hey Joseph,
The Colts game wasn’t on where I am but I watched it online on NFL Live. That was pretty cool. I didn’t get to see the whole game but it was good to see bits and pieces of it. They won by a good amount. I think it was 38-13 or something like that. Peyton still looked a bit put out at the end. I couldn’t figure out why but maybe it was because he was put on his back more than he would have liked. I know he doesn’t like to be sacked…oh well…that is all part of the job I guess. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one. I know I have much to be thankful for!!!
Teri
11/26/2007 at 5:06 pm
Joe, they are a good team but I don’t like them because I don’t like the fact that their coach cheated and they did virtually nothing about it. If that would have been any other team there would have been a MAJOR scandal. That is one reason and the other is for example, they were ahead 48 to something like 13 in a game a few back and they STILL didn’t pull out Tom Brady and they won 58 to I don’t remember what but that was unnecessary. That shows really bad sportsmanship in my opinion. Also…when they are behind Tom Brady whines to the refs as much as anyone else. They are a winning team…I will give you that. I just wonder if they hadn’t been cheating…would they have all of those rings? That question will never be answered…I am just surprised that it isn’t asked more. If we knew the plays and calls of other teams…we might have those rings. That is just my opinion…not that anyone asked….but I gave it freely. LOL
Joseph
11/26/2007 at 10:02 pm
HI Teri I am no expert but I Have read and heard from alot of NFL Shows That many Teams in the past did the same thing, Not That IT justifies it And you are allowed to take pitchers from the booth just not the sidelines .As far as running up the score all teams have done it. In fact when the redskins had there best year they ran the score up to 56-7 on another Nfl team,The Chargers beat the patriots one year 54-10 and the 1985 bears beat us 46-10 in the super bowl I was not mad at the bears,I thought the patriots stunk out the joint. My last point is I think taking away a # 1 draft pick is Quite A Fine, you are also punishing the patriots of the future. what if there is a new coach in 2 years. don’t get me wrong I did not say they should not have done it,But it seems to me its enough .When I said I could understand why other fans would dislike the patriots mt point was nobody wants 1 team to win to much. However that is your opinion and I respect that JOE
Teri
11/26/2007 at 10:56 pm
Hi Joe, I know that they took away the number one draft pick, I just think if it was another team that got caught with a library of tapes of other teams that got taken away there would have been more punishment than that involved. I heard them say that other teams have done it and I know that you said it wasn’t right. I agree but I also think if they got caught they should be punished as well. Cheating is not a good example for the sports world in general. That goes for illegal drugs and all that stuff. In other sports they have taken away awards and wins. That is why I don’t think it was punishment enough. I guess I can’t help it that I guess I just don’t like the Patriots but I REALLY don’t like their coach.
Joseph
11/27/2007 at 8:45 pm
HI Teri ,I don’t understand why you would say if it was another team the punishment would be more severe. first of all I don’t think any other team has lost a first round pick so we have nothing to compare it to .second, belichick has not been liked around the league since he coached the Cleavland browns in 1995 so why would he be handed any favors. joe
Teri
11/27/2007 at 8:53 pm
Well, I can’t for sure say that it would happen. I just feel like the Pats really got away with something. I mean sheesh….the Rams couldn’t even do the bob and weave because it was excessive celebration….some guys that take phones out on the field and pens and other dangerous things. Football is a game …true enough…but it is also entertainment. I see that some teams get away with doing lots of stuff…..some teams do not. That is all I am saying.

Hi TERI, some Colt scores 2004,When Peyton Had A super year and was left in for the fourth QTR. Nov14 04 COLTS-49 TEXANS-14.Nov 21 COLTS47 BEARS-10 Nov 25 COLTS41 LIONS 9 DEC 5 COLTS 51-titans24 Jan9 2005 playoffs Colts 49 Denver 24 Every team will run up the score if they can, if the defense can’t stop them, Thats on Them I think it is worse to kick a field goal thats more in your face if you go for a touch down you give there team another chance to stop you. Do you Honestly Think Peyton would of had 49 TDs If he did’t pile on a little bit. That did’t bother me at all I love to see new records set. Now Peyton is the only QB to have thrown 49 TDs in one season

Hi Teri You Are A Classy Woman And somebody you can have good honest conversation with. I wasnt looking to be Right But Thanks for thinking about my points.I Also think about yours. You Have a lot of good ones. it is so terrible about SEAN TAYLOR’S death I Pray god will help His friends family and teammates through this difficult time.I Know The Colts have an inportant game this week,so GOOD luck JOE

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your kind words. I enjoy talking with you as well but I dare not put my email up on the site. It is really horrible about Sean Taylor. They thought he was getting better last I heard and then I heard today he passed away. Too young…so many things to look forward to. It is a shame when someone turns his/her life around and then something like that happens. (It is always horrible, but you know what I mean). Thanks for the good luck for the Colts. I hope they do ok…they sure have lost a lot of players this year.
Did you see they let go Simeon Rice? What was that about? I thought he did pretty well.
Rams have suffered TERRIBLY this year too. Man they just lost Tinoisamoa now. (I think I spelled it at least close) At least they didn’t go without winning any games. I think there are still one or two teams that have yet to win one. Man that is rough!
Joseph
11/28/2007 at 3:21 pm
Hi,TERI I don’t know why they would release rice, unless they no something we don,t.Our Linebacker colvert is gone for the season he was hurt in the Philly game That was A tough smashmouth type football Game,Tough win. But I Am Sorry so many colts players are injured,The Pats Went through that in 2004.But so many other players stepped up and did a real good job.Seems that is what the colts are doing as well Good Luck JOE

HI Teri I Have some ammo for you,If The source is correct and I think it is,Petyon gives most of the money he makes on commercials to charity . I don’t want to get in a debate again about the class thing, but Brady does the same thing. I thought you could use this info next time someone says to you Peyton makes to many commercials Joe.
Teri
11/29/2007 at 11:29 pm
Well that is nice that they both donate money. I know that Peyton got a lot of flack for doing a sweet sixteen party. All that money went for his Peyback Foundation. They said he got $200.000 for doing it. I can’t believe that. But even if he did…who would turn that down…especially if they wanted it for charity but even if he didn’t …so what…I would LOVE it and I wouldn’t give all of it to charity either. Some yes…but not all of it.
I didn’t say that Tom Brady wasn’t a nice guy. I am sure he is. Peyton and him are pretty good friends from what I understand. He is absolutely easy on the eyes. He is also a great QB. But I can’t help it…I still love Peyton more!!! I hope we get to see all the games that we want to on Sunday….I don’t have the NFL ticket thing. I have digital cable…argh!!!
Teri
12/02/2007 at 3:13 am
woops…I read that he got $200,000.00 for doing it. I doubt that very much. But there were other stars there. One was Cedric the Entertainer. Maybe that is how much the party cost altogether. I don’t know but he gives stuff like that to charity I know that.
I am not sure about the commercials though. I know he does a lot of Charity spots and so does his whole family. Anyway…just wanted to correct my mistake!!!

Hey Joe,
Congrats on the Pats winning. It is in the win column for them for sure but whooeee!!!
The Ravens should have won that game…they killed themselves. They had that game in the bag. Emotions were running so high …I think because of the rivalry that they have with the Pats but also because of Sean Taylor’s death. They had just been to the funeral.
They are kind of a wild team anyway….they did it to themselves clownin’ up a storm on the field. Also with their own coach calling that time out…OUCH!!! So the Pat’s are still undefeated. Well I still think someone will beat them.
Time will tell. Take care and don’t let the holidays get to you. I say that because I know I have to say that to myself, LOL
Joseph
12/07/2007 at 8:09 pm
Hi Teri that was a close won,but if the refs had called it incompleat there was a holding penalty that was blatent that was called on the Ravens, it was declined By the patriots so it would have been 1ST and goal from the 4,I like the pats chances of scoring. Don’t forget the colts only won by 3 .you could say the patriots were lucky,by definition means when preporation meets opportunity, the catch was A judgement call. if the same thing happened to the colts is that a CATCH, be honest. Penalty calls usualty even out over a game. joe
Teri
12/08/2007 at 1:57 am
Joe, Hey there! Well I am not really talking about the catch…I was talking about the fourth down that they had twice and first their coach called a time out…OUCH and then there was an off sides. Then two 15 yard penalties at the end of the game. If they had been closer…looked to me like that last throw might have been a touchdown. Doesn’t matter now…game over. My blood pressure was so high..LOL. My son was in the shower in the bathroom next to my bedroom and he said he was afraid for his life. He hates it when I yell at the tv. He doesn’t watch football. I love it and the more exciting the game the more I yell and the better I like it. It was a good game to watch that is for sure.
Another one for the Pats in the win column. Congrats. I still think someone will beat them. They have been close a few times now….so time will tell.
Hugs, Teri

HI Teri ,I think I would be hiding with your son, only joking .I don’t know ,if the pats do lose a game I hope they get it over with I am going to have a heart attack. The cry baby ravens are still bitching about the loss to the pats,They are ready for easy pickins, don,t get me Wrong I would pick the colts anyway.good luck joe.

Hi,Teri I think I would be hiding with your son, only kidding, If the pats are going to lose,I hope they get it over with or I think I will have a heart attack.the cry baby RAVENS are so preoccupied with the loss to the pats they probably have not looked at the playbook for the colts, easy pickins don’t get me wrong the colts would win anyways I don’t see them playing a game like that again. if they played like that all year long they would have a great record. Joe.

Hey Joe,
Thanks! The Ravens did play a good game…but they just can’t stop the drama I guess.
Oh well…they say you have to have amnesia when you play football. Well may the season proceed. Football is such a short season anyway. I have to savor it when it is here!!!

Hey Joe…did you watch the Colts play the RAvens? They killed them. They did take Peyton out early in the third quarter though…they didn’t leave him in because they were killin’ them 40-7 and they gave the second string a chance to play. They stepped up too.
Brackett was AWESOME yesterday. He isn’t second string but he was really HOT!!!
Did they ever take Brady out of the game? I can’t remember. He was lookin’ awfully cute yesterday…I have to admit that. I guess since the Steeler’s couldn’t beat them..they will probably be 16-0 for the regular season.
Hope you had a great Sunday!

12/10/2007 at 11:16 pm
Hi Teri
They did not take Brady out of the ravens game because it was To close. The pats Are between a rock and a hard place,if they score to many points they are bullies, if they are in a close game they are losers.I think if I remember correctly The Colts lost 2 games in a row and barely beat KC. and Jacksonville. The Patriots won their close games. My point about leaving manning in was in the 2004 season when he broke the touchdown record of 49. Tom Brady has 45 touchdowns and he is trying to break the old record with 3 games to go,who knows? Well best of luck.
JOE
Teri
12/12/2007 at 5:06 am
Hey Joe,
It seems like it is good practice to take out the first stringers if they get ahead and 30 – 13 isn’t exactly a close game. But whatever. I think it is a good idea to give the other guys a chance to play in case there are injuries. I mean playing in a real game is much different than practice. Plus when you are ahead you don’t have the pressure of HAVING to get points on the board. The Ravens had them on the run until the end….I remember that. I just couldn’t remember if they took him out. I don’t think Peyton likes to be taken out either. He keeps his helmet on and doesn’t look happy. It also keeps your first QB from getting injured. I don’t think they are bullies…I think it can make a team look greedy. I don’t think that was the case last week with the Patriots though. Hope you aren’t getting the ice storms. They have missed us..just barely. They are north of us. I am in ST. Louis. We have had a bit of freezing rain but mostly just rain. I wish we had some snow. I love snow and our football team has a stadium…lol. Not that it helped them much this year…sigh.

Hi TERI
Both teams had to work today for a win, but it builds character. What do you think about Dallas and Pittsburgh losing today, maybe it will help them in the long run. The one that shocked me was Miami winning their first one. We had snow, ice, rain and wind, nice day.I don’t no why they would not have at least A retractable roof, that makes to much sense.God Bless.

Teri
12/17/2007 at 10:43 pm
Hi Joe,
Yeah it was a working day for sure. I have heard some people say that the teams that don’t have a dome have an advantage for the games because they can play in cold weather. I guess that is why some people keep the open stadiums. I also think it has to do with money too. Miami winning…well it is about time. I am glad they at least won a game. That would be so daunting to not win a game at all for the season. My poor Rams have the worst record since 1988…argh!!!! They need to get some guys in there that can protect our QB and we also need to get a fire in their bellies. Stephen Jackson is AMAZING though. I hope we can keep him. He is our lifeline. Holt is good and so is Bruce but without protection on the front line….our QB gets sacked and hurt constantly. When Kurt Warner was first our lead QB they played what almost looked
like “street ball” That was fun to watch and we won almost ALL the time. That was the year I really got interested in the game and learned about it. (1999) That was Vermile then though…he was a GREAT coach and we haven’t been the same since then.
Colts are my AFC team for sure. I really enjoy watching them play. I kind of like it when it is a closer game….more exciting. Don’t you??? Well I can’t wait for next week.
Take care and stay safe…I guess your weather must be worse than ours.

Hi Teri,
I agree with you on all the players that are valuable to the rams.I also think bulger
is one of the best QBs in the league, but its hard to perform with no protection.
Your team should have some good draft picks, maybe they will pick up some help
for bulger.happy and safe holidays

Hey Joe.
Well the Pats did it…congrats to them….you know I am not a Pats fan but you have to give props where they are due…I guess. What I am confused about is…do they think they forgot all the info they compiled while they were cheating??? I am not too sure about that and someone told me that Beliceck (sp?) got coach of the year???? WHAT???? now do you see what I am saying??? How can that be? He gets caught cheating and he is coach of the year??? OMG You said something about first round draft pick. Someone on TV said that they would get first round draft pick. I thought that was part of the punishment. I don’t get it…sorry. I see other teams get punished for doing far less. The guy that took the phone out on the field got worse punishment than the Pats got LOL.
Well I know you are happy and I understand that….I just don’t know who decides what is punishable and what isn’t. We can’t even do the bob and weave because that is excessive celebration…come on. I don’t believe in that at all. Football is entertainment and the fans like to see that kind of stuff…it is entertaining. Cheating however….not good and a terrible example for young sports fans too.
Well I am sorry if this seems like I am beating up on you because I don’t mean to…just venting.
I am looking forward to the rest of the playoffs and the superbowl. Keep in touch.
Happpy New Year!!!!

Teri,The Patriots
received San Francisco’s#1pick from a trade in 2007 draft,If you really want to
get pissed that will be the 7th pick in the draft.the pick they will lose will be
between#28 and 32 depending on how they do in the playoffs. Maybe they will lose
that will fixem.I also found out they have the Raiders #1 pick in the third round.
You know what they say the rich just keep on getting richer. You make me worry
when you get so upset over a team, slow down don’t have a heart attack.
its only a game that the owners and players make millions of dollars from.
I have a lot of interests so I don’t get wrapped up in any one thing,If the Patriots
lose there next game or lost there whole draft its not going to change my life.
take care Joe

Hi Joe…oh heavens…I wasn’t that hyped up…I mean I didn’t get high blood pressure from it. I just don’t believe that they could make that man coach of the year??? What are they thinking??? I love football and I get into it …it is a short season but it is by no means my only focus. I have many hobbies and intrests and I love to read. It just really gets me about the Pats. That is the only team you even hear about this year. I for one hope they don’t go to the superbowl. I will probably be let down but I would love for Peyton to go again. I would LOVE to see the Giants and the Colts go to the Superbowl for sure.
That would be another history making Superbowl. Well, what happens happens…there can only be two teams that go to the SB and there can only be one winner. I was just always told that winners never cheat and cheaters never win. I guess that theory is blown to hell LOL.
Hope to hear from you soon

Well looks like the Pats are gonna do it. I am sad because of my beloved Colt’s loss.
There’s always next year. I hope Tony Dungy stays another year. Have fun watching the games this weekend. I know I will. Maybe the Giants will win…who knows. :-/

It’s funny, I’ve enjoyed Joe and Terri’s banter over the last few months, but I have to disagree with Gage. Right now,
1a.Tom Brady
1b.Peyton Manning
3.Brett Favre
When all three of their careers are over, we will have a better idea who will have had the best career. For all we know, Brady doesn’t win another Super Bowl and Manning goes on to win 3 or 4 more and breaks Brady’s records. Or Favre plays until he’s 50 or wins another Super Bowl, whichever comes first.

Hey Joe!!! All ready for the big game??? I am. I am very excited!!! I know you will be rooting in front of the tv. I didn’t mean to push your buttons when I said that about them not saying things about the other team but I was watching the interviews after the game in the locker room and to the media and I didn’t hear one of the guys say anything about the other team being a worthy opponent or anything about the other team. Of course Randy Moss is only for himself and please tell me you know this. He hasn’t changed one bit…even the sports announcers say that about him. I am not saying he isn’t a good ball player…for heaven’s sake that would be crazy!! He is just an egomaniac about it.
Did you see the lady in the audience ask Tom Brady to marry her??? LOL that was hilarious. Her name was Inez. He was too funny about it too!!! He was like, what is your name first?? I have been in Decautur Il. all week. My dad was in the hospital and he got out and I went to visit them. I started to come back last night but the weather was so bad I turned around and came back! I got home a bit ago. I am looking forward to seeing some of the Pre-game interviews and stuff. My parents aren’t into football so they didn’t want to have anything to do with that.
Have fun and take care

Well thanks for being a colts fan too but I didn’t really stoop so low with Joe. He and I can have a conversation about things without getting crazy. I am a colts fan…I HATE the pats. I will be the first to admit that and I have said that before. I don’t have a problem
with someone else being a fan I just don’t really like all the FU stuff if you don’t like them or the FU stuff to Peyton. Peyton is a great QB and a really cool guy that has a really good sense of humor. If you saw Saturday night live you have to admit that. Tom Brady is a good QB but he isn’t winning games alone and neither is anyother QB. My opinion.
