My son was fitted with an ankle device to ensure he stayed away from a former girlfriend. They fitted it very loose so he could wear his work boots. Subsequently, it kept getting caught in things and breaking. He is now in jail because they accused him of breaking it on purpose. They said the bracelets do not break as a result of getting caught on things. That this has never happened before. Is this the truth? He is now incarcerated with 100,000 bail. How do I get info on how it's fitted correctly or not?

I also like the idea of a GPS ankle bracelet. Haven't seen anything for use in public tracking as of yet but there are some good references on offenders. I like this one...

Is there anyway the public can track on a website who is on a tether? For neighborhood watch purposes.
