Happy Christ Has Risen Day
Is it time to celebrate Christ coming back to life again already? Wow, how the time flies. I just wanted to say Happy Eater to everyone out there from the Savages.
Ok, so we don’t celebrate a silly thing like Christ coming back to life. What we do celebrate is a bunny that lays eggs and delivers baskets of candy to people’s houses. That’s not silly at all. Jake definitely thinks the Easter Bunny is pretty cool. But then again, he also thinks the Easter Bunny drives a carrot car and poops out candy filled eggs, so you really can’t go by him.
Jake told me that he wanted to shake the Easter Bunny’s hand. I suggested that we go to the Mall and have his picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Do you know what this 4 year old kid said to me? “Ummm…mom, that isn’t even the real Easter Bunny, it’s just a guy in a suit.” It’s amazing how a 4 year old can make me feel stupid.
It’s only 11:30 in the morning and already Jake is bouncing off the walls due to sugar overload. What did I think was going to happen when I spent $36.00 on candy? Live and learn, that’s all you can do.
It seems that the Easter Bunny forgot to leave my basket. Moms always get screwed! Happy Easter
