We are less than a month away from Harpoon Helps Spread Holiday Cheer . On Saturday, December 1st, we will be again be sending Harpoon Helpers to 25 different locations in Boston to decorate and spread good tidings to those who need it the most. We are still looking for volunteers to come help us decorate and invite you to sign up yourself or a group today. After a couple of hours decorating, everyone will return to our Boston brewery for some food and fresh Harpoon beers! We hope that you will join us for our biggest Harpoon Helps mission of the year!

You’ll receive a confirmation email from us followed by a more detailed email closer to the mission. We still have about 100 volunteer spots left at this point, and expect to fill up very quickly. Sign up today! We will assign decorating groups on a first come, first serve basis. HOW ELSE YOU CAN HELP
WE NEED GIFTS!! No, not for us. They’re for the men, women, and kids at the shelters we’re decorating for the 4th Annual Harpoon Helps Spread Holiday Cheer. We thought it’d be great to be able to leave a little something extra for the folks that could use it the most during this season. Thanks to your help in 2006, Harpoon Helps donated over $3,000 in gift cards to Boston-area shelters.
Over the next few weeks Harpoon Helps will be compiling holiday wish lists from all of the shelters throughout New England that we’re decorating and we need you to help us fulfill these wish lists. Much of the list consists of gift cards to various stores like Target and Wal-Mart. These gift cards will enable parents in the family shelters to go out and purchase gifts for their kids – so they are able to give something that they choose.
To make it as easy as possible, we’ve set up a gift registry at www.MyRegistry.com. Just click on the link above, then click on “Find a Friend’s Registry” at the top of the page. Search for First Name: “Harpoon Helps”, last name “Spread Holiday Cheer”. The password is “HarpoonHelps.”

- Harpoon Irish Pub Tour – Harpoon and Brian Moore International Tours (BMIT) have again teamed up to host this unique vacation opportunity will provide you the chance to visit some of the best pubs and sights of the Emerald Isle. Enjoy the legendary hospitality of the Irish from February 21 to 26. Deadline for signing up for this trip is November 20th in order to secure your spot.
- Beer Dinner at Solas – Join us on November 13th for a beer dinner at Solas on Boylston Street in Boston to enjoy the unique beer and food pairings that Chef Fathman has put together. Dinner will be $45 for Friends of Harpoon, and $50 for the general public (cost includes the five-course meal paired with a Harpoon beer. For reservations, call Jill Gigante at (617) 746-1223. Make sure that you mention that you are a Friend of Harpoon.
- Rock & Art Charity Auction at Boston Opera House – Rock & Art is a Bank of America Pavilion program that pairs visual artists with national touring musicians. This fall, Live Nation will host a charity auction at the Opera House on November 15th at which all paintings will be offered for sale with proceeds benefiting Action for Boston Community Development and Artists For Humanity. Friends of Harpoon can get half price tickets.
