Just came across this blog and it was great reading all the hype. Heard about this movie a few years back but lost track of it. Now I am really pumped to see it. I went to Lowell High with Micky (class of 1983) and was good friends with him while in high school. Dick and Mickey had a relative (half brother I think) named Lestar Parks who I hung with while in high school who lived on Bridge street. Does anyone know what happend to him and if they were going to include him in the movie

Nick, as my mom used to say “if you have nothing good to say just smile and keep quiet.” I have a different version of her wisdom, “if you don’t know what you are talking about shut the fuck up!” For those of us that have had the honor of knowing Mick it is clear that he had his life challanges but is by no means white trash. He is a true gentleman that cares about others who just happens to be a tremendous athlete and has the heart of a warrior. You wouldn’t be fit to carry his gloves let alone use them!
