I stumbled upon this I am sorry for everyone’s loss. But People are hurt and this is what is the fact here. Also even the driver as this is stated an accident…..Anger is not going to solve anything what about the drivers young life yeah lets hang him is what i am hearing. God forbid it was your child facing prison over an ACCIDENT that’s what it was. I do understand everyone’s pain but it does not end with an individual here it ends with several family’s please lets all open our hearts for everyone in this terrible incident and pray for everyone involved in this. So that all their lives can move forward people close to victims should be there for them mothers fathers children please don’t think of yourself s during this painful transition for all involved GOD LOVES US ALL we are all his children i will send my prayers for all

I know I sound mean, but this story has kept me up at nite and I dont even
know the family. It is heartbreakingly unfair. I have a sister and 2 sister- in -laws who are pregnant and I see firsthand the excitement and joy everyone feels. I feel for Deborah and her family because they were robbed of all of this over something so stupid. God give Brant the strength to find happiness again.

I’m very sorry for Deborah and Samuel and the life they will never lead because 2 jerks got behind the wheel and never considered the consequences of their actions. I’m sorry for her family and for Brant.

Jenny, you are young and immature have no clue that family is everything in life. Carlos robbed many people of that. I dont want to hear that he is ” a nice guy”. He didnt get the jail/probabtion time he deserved. If he were dying on the side of the road I’d drive by and laugh. I hope the rest of his life is horrible.

I just stumbled upon this site and was so disheartened to read some of the comments. I am a friend of Deb’s sister and knew Deb and her husband from family events. They were so happy about this baby and had been planning it for so long. The emotional wounds of the family will never fully heal. Every holiday that had gone by was the first without Deb. As we approach mother’s day please once again keep the family in your prayers as they struggle to find meaning in each day. This would have been Deb’s first mother’s day. It would have been Brant’s first father’s day. The loss and saddness is overwhelming and felt by so many.

I am in disbelief and incredibly sad to just learn about this senseless tragedy.

I went to college and was friends with both Brant (her husband) and Deb. My prayers go out to the Hornberger family.
