Most Haunted: Fake Or Not, It’s an Entertaining DVD
I have a secret pleasure that I don’t often share with people… I like to watch the Travel Channel show Most Haunted. Wow, I know why I never tell people that, I felt like a loser just typing it. I find it very entertaining…but do I think it’s real?

For anyone who doesn’t know what Most Haunted is I’ll sum it up for you. A ghost hunting team investigates Europe’s spookiest locations. The Most Haunted Crew spends 24 hours at each location. They set up night-vision and thermal image cameras as well as record audio. They experiment with parapsychology and seances to connect to those who have passed on.
While being under surveillance, each member of the Most Haunted team explores areas of the location. To me this is the most entertaining part. The crew members are usually alone in a certain part of the location with no lights on except for a flashlight with a night vision camera. You know, having it all in black and white like that really makes me like a goof for watching this show.
But I do watch…why? Because Most Haunted is entertaining to me. I love the idea of there being ghosts around. There are times on the show when the crew members genuinely get scared. There is no way that these people are faking the fear that they sometimes have (they don’t strike me as being that good at acting). It’s funny to me to see someone freaking out while having a camera stuck right in their face. Do I have a warped sense of humor? Kind of.
Even more than getting to laugh at people on Most Haunted who are almost scared to tears while having a camera shoved in their face, is all the really cool “ghost hunting” lingo that is used. Here are just a few examples.

I’ve been able to convince my 4 year old that Most Haunted is a really cool show to watch. I record it when it airs Friday night at 10pm. Obviously I’m usually not home, it is Friday night after all and I’m usually out partying it up. Ok, I’m usually already asleep and that is why I record it.
If I’m lucky, when I watch Most Haunted on Saturday morning my husband won’t be around. If he is, I have to listen to him tell me how fake the show is. He also likes to mock the host of Most Haunted (Yvette Fielding) when she is calling out for any astral beings to knock 3 times if they are around. I know, the show sounds retarded as I’m reading this too.
Proof That Most Haunted is Fake
I don’t care what the skeptics say. I like the TV show Most Haunted. I don’t care that people who have formerly worked on the show, such as Parapsychologist Dr. Ciaran O’Keefe, have said that the psychic medium Derek Acorah was full of crap and was proved to be lying on several occasions.
Ok, so that does tip the scales towards Most Haunted being fake but I’ll still watch. You should too. If you are into ghosts at all I think you will enjoy the show. There is a psychic medium on Most Haunted now named David Wells who I really enjoy watching. To me he seems like the real deal…but I watch Most Haunted so consider the source.

I loved “Hammer House of Horror”, but I have not seen “Most Haunted”.
Ghosts, spirits and demons are real.
My mother never lied and she saw a mermaid and told me about the ghost of her aunt who was haunting her family until they exhumed her and severed her head. Then they used a piece of black cloth to cover the face and she never appeared again.
Beware of the unknown.

That is pretty freaky. See I want to believe stuff like that but because I’ve never experienced anything “other worldly” I am skeptical.

I’m with you – it’s a guilty pleasure that is just too much fun! Once you recognize the habitually faked stuff (why is it that every episode Yvette hears someone breathe heavily/groan in her ear?) you can let yourself try to guess if any remaining stuff is real. Besides, these locations really are supposed to be haunted, and I love hearing their histories and getting to see places I’ll never visit. I have to confess, though, I miss seeing Derek getting “possessed”. Those were such funny moments I nearly peed myself laughing at them!

ye right derek is a LIE just like the show and yess every epesode yvette heres stuff she is a lie aswell and so is da stupid show ye ppl might belive coz they have been to the live shows but those sounds are the crewmembers and magnets under the table when they do viguals
