Ooze Irish Pride With The Right Saint Patrick’s Day Gear
Do you celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with a night on the town? Then you’ll need to wear all the right St. Patrick’s Day gear to make sure that you celebrate this March 17th St. Patty’s style.
What’s that you say? You are Irish and have green eyes…BFD! Wear your green eyes proudly on all of the other days of the year but on St. Patrick’s Day you need to ooze Irish pride with great St. Patty’s Day Costumes.
What is the best way to ooze Irish pride? By dressing up in ridiculously goddy, over the top Irish themed apparel. My name is Erin and I’m going to show you how to properly dress for a St. Patrick’s Day…night on the town.
Let’s start out with the basic St. Patrick’s Day shirt. You need one of two things: a green shirt (bo…ring) or a personalized St. Patrick’s Day shirt (YES). By choosing the personalized type of shirt you show that you put a little thought into your St. Patrick’s Day outfit. If they only had an Irish Micky Ward costume I’d wear that out.
Now, let’s move on to your head. There are many ways of making your head say IRISH. The first is by choosing just the right type of St. Patrick’s Day hat. For some…that would no doubt mean wearing a green leprechaun hat but for others it means thinking outside of the normal “irish stereotypes” and going with a newsboy style green and white hat.
If you are a wee irish lass you may opt for wearing a long green glamour wig instead of a hat. What does a green wig say to people? It says I love Ireland so much that my hair is green. Perfect.
With the top of our heads taken care of it’s now time to move to the face area. This is where things can get tricky. You have to ask yourself “do I just want to wear some shamrock style glasses?”, “am I going to skip the glasses and opt for putting shamrock stickers all over my Irish cheeks” or “am I really going to go for it and use some green face paint to turn my entire face into a huge shamrock?”
So you have your St. Patrick’s Day shirt, head wear and face accessories but what about your neck? I guess this really depends on the weather where you are. If you are in a colder climate you may want to go with a shamrock scarf to keep you warm. If keeping warm isn’t your top priority then you may want to go with the luck of the irish St. Patrick’s Day beads. I would choose the St. Patrick’s Day beads if you plan on being anywhere that girls might be flashing…these beads are like money in that crowd.
Don’t be mistaken and think that you only need to be wearing St. Patrick’s themed accessories where everyone can see. No, no, no. You need to be dawning the St. Patrick’s day gear inside and out. That is why Irish themed underwear are so important. If you are a lady you could go with the classic St. Patrick’s Day Green Thong Panty. For the men, you’re going to want to go with the classic Lucky Four Leaf Clover Satin Boxers. Both of these say “I planned on someone seeing my underwear tonight!”.
This last St. Patrick’s Day outfit I’m about to mention is only for the real die hards out there. Ready? If you want to show your true Irish colors on this St. Patrick’s Day, there is no better way to do so then by wearing a St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Costume. This says “I love Ireland and it’s strange mythological stereotypes!”
One word of caution on for This St. Patrick’s Day: DO NOT DRINK THE GREEN BEER. It seems like a good idea at the time until you see pictures of yourself on a later date and realize that you walked around with green teeth all night. DO NOT DRINK THE GREEN BEER.
