Shocking Video of Saddam’s Death Released to the Public?
Since the news broke that the Iraqi appeals court upheld the sentence of death handed down to Saddam, television networks have a question that needs an answer. Should the video of Saddam Hussein’s execution be released to the public?
This is a question that will need to be answered rather quickly as speculation is pointing towards the execution taking place by Sunday, December 31st. The Iraqi National Security Adviser, Mouffak al Rubaie, has already made a statement that they will be taping the entire execution. They have not yet stated if this would be released to the public or not.
With the assumption that it is released to the public, ABC and CBS have already said that they would not air the entire execution. The Iraqi government had recently released video of 13 convicts being hanged and it was said to be a gruesome affair. Video of an execution has never been aired on American television so this would be a first.
That is why this is such a hot topic with all of the networks and news organizations. I think what will happen is that once one of the network shows it.. they all will. After all, ratings is the name of the game.
I think that American’s definitely have a morbid curiosity for this type of thing. We see Saddam Hussein as an enemy of ours and I bet that tons of people would be all for seeing him put to death. As soon as the execution takes place you can be sure that many people will be searching the web for a glimpse of this video. Whether it is available or not is up to the Iraqi Government.

We have been seeing worse horrors in terrorist suicide bombings and innocent people plunging to their death from the Twin Towers is more horifying and terrifying than seeing an ordinary video of an evil tyrant named Saddam Hussein being hanged.
The world is better and safer now with one evil man less.
