What’s interesting is that the T-Mobile MDA has everything that this new SK3 has but then some, and the MDA has been out for a little while now.

Now, it’s slighty heavier than the Sidekick but if you are looking for a variety of features, especially the 320×240 screen that some of you mentioned, it has that, and although Michelle mentioned the latest Blackberry, which by features is pretty nice, but it lacks Bluetooth and a MiniSD card slot, which the MDA has (and the SK3 will have), and the MDA has the Word and Excel (and Powerpoint) mobile versions just like the Blackberry (which the SK3 won’t have, but most younger people could care less about that unless their in college and save some assignments on them).

And although the MDA doesn’t have Intel (it only has a 200MHz processor) it’s connectivity options are more than the Blackberry in that it can connect from as simple as a WAP connection (but that’s like if you’re in the country somewhere), but mostly you’ve got GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth, and then WiFi at the top level if you have it or go to a T-Mobile Hotspot to connect for free. Then it also has a slide out QWERTY keyboard with spaced out keys, although you can just use the stylus and tap away if you want. Oh, and did I mention the that when you slide the keyboard out that the screen image shifts from potrait to landscape instantly?

As for mine, thus far, I’ve loaded a full movie onto it (e.g. Ocean’s Twelve), some mp3s, and some pics (with great resolution might I add, though with the 1GB miniSD card I got, I’m gonna have to upgrade to a 2GB though I’m holding out to see if a 4GB comes out soon and just get that and be set).

Sideckicks are known for their messaging and the MDA even has AIM, Yahoo, and MSN messengers…oh, and it’s a phone, too! (lol)

I’m not knocking the SK3, for what I do know about it thus far, it seems the MDA has it everything you could want and then some. The onyl reason I’m hyping up the MDA is because I was also waiting for the SK3 but while doing my research while getting the leaked info on specs, it just seemed that the MDA had more going for it.

If interested, is selling it for $249 (as opposed to T-Mobile’s $299 price) but also offers $200 in rebates to knock the price down to a crazy $49!

Do the homework, compare the features, figure out what fits you best, and decide. For those who needed an option (perhaps a better one) I hope this was helpful.
