Sugar Free Candies and Chocolates at BattleDiabetes.com
Sugar free chocolate is something he should be eating rather than regular candy and chocolate. For anyone who doesn’t know it, Ken is a type 2 diabetic. He will be the first to admit that he does not have the best diet for a diabetic. He doesn’t sit around eating sweets or anything like that but he should be following a stricter diet that is more fit for a diabetic. And a little more exercise wouldn’t hurt either there Ken.
There is a website called Battle Diabetes that gives a lot of great information for anyone with diabetes. Since Valentine’s is coming up (which in our house is actually Ken’s birthday rather than Valentine’s Day) I decided to treat my man to some sweets. Knowing that I really can’t get him anything with sugar in it I had to find some alternatives which I was able to do on the battle diabetes site.
For anyone who has a diabetic special someone you should definitely check it out a place to get sugar free candies and chocolates.

I think sugar-free candy is a great alternative for people who shouldn’t be indulging in the forbidden pleasures of sugary treats. It’s great for people that just want to cut some of the sugar out of their diets, but what about the people that can’t stop at just one serving size? Have you read the warning labels to most of these products? They say that excessive consumption will cause a laxative effect. You might as well just buy a package of chocolate flavored Ex-Lax.
Ouch. Never over ate sugar-free chocolate before. But I’ll take your word for it.
Know of any other sites that sell sugar free candy for Valentines Day?

For those people looking for a no sugar alcohol chocolate (no laxative effect), go to http://www.d-lectable.com and look for the hi fiber–low G.I.page. These are made with a “new” no sugar alcohol sweetener that does not have the laxative effect of other sweeteners. Keep in mind that these items are high in fiber which means you still have to watch the quantity you consume, but you will not get the belly aches that are associsated with “SUGAR ALCOHOL PRODUCTS”
Its great and everything that you have found sugar free items, but being diabetic should have no special bearing on one’s diet. With general health in mind it would be a good idea not to have to much sugar, but with the diabetes all he needs to do is check his blood sugar more often and take more insulin when indulging in sweets, and it will have no negative effect on the control of the blood sugar, or diabetes.
