Webmasters are Waging WAR against Ted Leonsis
Has Ted Leonsis slapped the SEO community in the face? Checkout this contest where they’ll prove that Ted Leonsis is not an SEO.
So what, right? Well he wants to make it a big deal where he thinks it was such an accomplishment that he ranked for his own name. Ted Leonsis is Vice Chairman of AOL. He wants to control the Google SERPs for his own name. He doesn’t need an SEO, because he is an SEO. According to the Washington post story, Ted Leonsis was driven by a desire to rank for his own name about a year ago, so he started blogging.
I rank #1 in all the search engines for my name. You don’t see me boasting about it but sometimes guys need a vanity check and bang on their chest a little bit.
