Fred Claus, played by Vince Vaughn, is the older brother of better known Santa Claus, played by Paul Giamatti.
The movie “Fred Claus” lets you see just what it would be like to live in the shadow of Nicholas Claus.
Instead of being the meaning of giving as Fred’s younger brother Nicholas Claus is, Fred Claus is just the opposite. He is a repo man who ends up stealing what he repossess and is forced to live at the North Pole with his younger brother.
Other than Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti the cast includes Kevin Spacey, Kathy Bates, Miranda Richardson and Ludacris. I really think this will become a classic Christmas movie. What is kind of interesting is that “Fred Claus” was the original title of this movie but due to some potential rights issues the name was changed to “Joe Claus”. Once those issues were cleared up, the name was changed back to the original “Fred Claus” which in my opinion is just perfect.
When this November rolls around we will all be the judges of just how good they have pulled off what seems like a great idea when we watch “Fred Claus.”

I am so anxious to see Fred Claus and am looking forward to seeing Danny McCarthy perform again. He is so talented and I know he will make it big in the theatre world.
Look for Danny as one of the Santa Clauses.
