White Stripes Icky Thump Lyrics and Review
The White Stripes single Icky Thump is the first single to be released off of their soon to be dropped album also titled Icky Thump. This release will mark the sixth White Stripes album to be released. Icky Thump is a much anticipated album for White Strip fans since the group was on a self proclaimed hiatus.
The White Stripes reported that they will be releasing the album “as soon as corporately possible” but sources outside of the group are stating that June 19, 2007 is the definite Icky Thump release date for the United States. I’m already looking for some new White Stripes freeringtones and I’ll let you know if I find any decent sites for it.
The White Stripes Icky Thump is said to provide everything from arena rock, to spoken word, to the blues. Icky Thump includes bagpipes and trumpet from a previously unknown Latin musician into the mix. What listeners might notice is no piano this time around. This is quite a difference from the plethora of piano we heard on the last White Stripes album titled Get Behind Me Satan.
When will you be able to see White Stripes in concert? Well that depends on where you live. The White Stripes will be touring this Summer. You can check out the White Stripes site directly for White Stripes tickets.
Along with the title track Icky Thump, some of the titles to be included on the Icky Thump album are:
- Catch Hell Blues
- Little Creme Soda
- Monkeys Have it Easy
- Rag and Bone
- Clicky Bump
- Blue Orchid
- You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do What You’re Told)
If you want to be able to sing along with the lyrics at least one White Stripe song in concert you can check out the Icky Thump lyrics. Even I can remember La la la

Yeah.
The Lyrics on that site are wrong
I took these from the white stripes myspace
okay
So they are right
Iiiiieee.
Icky Thump
Whoda Thunk?
Sitting on a Train to Mexico?
Ah Well
Whatta Chump.
Well My Head Gotta Bump
When I Hit On The Radio
RedHead Senorita
Looking Dead
Came and Said,
“Need a Bed?”
En Espanol
I Said, “Gimme a Drink a Water
I’m Gonna ‘Sing Around the Collar’
And I Don’t Need a Microphone”
Icky Thump
With a Lump In My Throat
Grabbed My Coat
And I Was Freaking
I Was Ready To Go!
And I Swear
Besides The Hair
She Had;
One White Eye
And One Black Stare
Lookin’ Up Lyin’ There.
On The Stand
Near Her Hand Was A Candy Cane.
Black Rum, Sugar Cane,
Dry Ice and Something Strange.
La La La La La La La
La La La La La La La
White Americans, What?
Nothing Better To Do?
Why Don’t You Kick Yourself Out
You’re An Immigrant Too
Who’s Using Who?
What Should We Do?
Well, You Can’t Be A Pimp And
A Protitute Too.
Icky Thump
Handcuffed To A Bunk
Robbed Blind
Looked Around
And There Was Nobody Else
Left Alone
I Hit Myself With A Stone
Went Home And Learned How
To Clean Up After Myself.

yeah i agree with fred.
first off the first verse says:
ya-hee icky thump
who’da thunk?
sittin drunk on a wagon to mexico
did you get a toddler to interpret the lyrics or are you just that awful?

Dallas totally missed the mark. Here are the lyrics if you need em:
Yah-hee, icky thump
Who’d-a thunk?
Sittin’ drunk
On a wagon to Mexico
Her hair, what a chump
And my head
Got a bump
When I hit it on the radio
Red-head señorita
Lookin’ dead
Came to said,
“I need a bed” en español
So I gave a drink of water
I’m gonna sing around the collar
Well, I don’t need a microphone
Icky thump, with the lump
In my throat
Grab my coat
And now it’s reckon
I was ready to go
Yeah, I swam beside the hair
She had one white eye
One blank stare
Lookin’ up, lyin’ there
On a stand in her hair
Was a candy cane
Black rum, sugar cane
Dry eye, somethin’ strange!
Well, Americans:
What, nothin’ better to do?
Why don’t you kick yourself out?
You’re an immigrant too.
Who’s usin’ who?
What should we do?
Well you can’t be a pimp
And a prostitute too
Icky thump, handcuffed to a bunk
Robbed blind
Looked around
And there was nobody else
Left alone
I hit myself with a stone
Went home
And learned how to clean up after myself
